For a warm treatment, place it on a paper towel and heat it in the microwave for about 20 to 30 seconds, depending on the appliance's power, or place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a conventional oven preheated to 175 °F (about 80 °C) for 10 minutes at most; do not use a gas oven. Move the grains around to spread the heat and always test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before placing it over your eyes. For a cold treatment, keep it in the freezer in an airtight plastic bag. To wash the cover, remove it from the pillow, wash it in cold water and lay it flat to dry.
