Kinesix: Inside the Business

Kinesix : Au coeur de l'entreprise

We can't say it enough: 30 minutes of physical activity a day keeps the doctor away. And theKinesix Sports company is an additional source of motivation to get there. In addition to being aesthetic, their clothing and accessories will make practicing your sport more enjoyable thanks to their comfort and breathability.

A step back…

Kinesix Sports is above all the story of Jonathan Albrecht, a 32-year-old entrepreneur and passionate about… shoes. He has no less than 40 pairs at home. Yes, yes you read that right! His love for shoes, particularly for the Nike brand, led him to draw his own sketches. This young creator is also a connoisseur of physical activity and kinetics, that is to say movements. It is no coincidence that the name of his company is called like this, “kinesis” meaning movement in Greek. Following a bachelor's degree in kinesiology as well as a master's degree in biomechanics, the correlation between tightness and performance particularly piques her curiosity. One thing led to another, he found the balance between all these fields of interest and set up his business.

Kinesix Sports offers high quality apparel and accessories for both men and women. The company offers, in particular, t-shirts and long-sleeved sweaters. Whether for running or physical conditioning, they combine performance and comfort. In addition to jerseys, Kinesix Sports also designs protective compression sleeves, ideal for obstacle courses. Moreover, some top runners use them during their events.

100% Quebec

In addition to standing out for its high quality, Kinesix Sports also stands out for its local production. Indeed, all its products are developed and manufactured in Quebec. Jonathan creates his own designs while his sweaters are made from a fiber called KineCool, woven here in a Montreal factory. For him, it is important to develop the local economy and help other businesses in the area.

This KineCool fiber has a great ability to wick away moisture, which helps keep the body dry during physical exertion. Not only that, it even creates a feeling of freshness, a cold effect. It just gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “getting into a cold sweat”.

Two steps forward...
At the same time bright, creative and ambitious, Jonathan is overflowing with ideas and projects for his young company. Currently working on a new line of KineDry jerseys, he also hopes to develop 4 product lines: Endurance, Intense, Obstacle and Pro. And that's not all! He wants to innovate by developing smart sweaters that can be controlled using a cell phone. We can say that this young entrepreneur has plenty to do. And let's bet that his old sketches of shoes are not far away!
