Trained as an occupational therapist, Marie-Eve developed her drawing technique over ten years using oil paint. Always looking for the style and the medium that she really liked, it was not until 2015 that she discovered the graphics tablet.
She decided to give it a shot with the aim of creating an image herself to decorate her daughter's room, since she couldn't find anything she really liked in the store. Inspired, she created a first original graphic work. A visit to a printer who offered a result that lived up to his expectations and hop, his creation now adorned the wall of his daughter's room!
Requests soon poured in from friends and family, leading him to think that starting a business might be possible. In 2015, she therefore proceeded to open a shop on Etsy. Quickly, shops asked to sell his illustrations in shops.
Encouraged by this great success and inspired by everything that surrounds her, she diversified colors and subjects offered in different formats, laser-printed in high definition on recycled matte paper. The watercolor effect of his creations, as well as the vibrant colors of his illustrations have now become his trademark!
It is always her intuition that guides her in the choice of products and images that will be printed on them: cushion covers, greeting cards, posters and little stuffed animals, all of this comes from an idea, from a crush.
Collaborations with other designers now arrive sporadically and allow him to see his illustrations on products all more different than the others: leggings, scratch cards to announce the sex of a child before birth, shoulder bags and even a nightlight!
Surprised, but very happy with the proportions that her project is taking on, she is also the only Quebecer to find herself among the artists of Marmont Hill, a renowned American company that distributes works by artists on canvas and on wood... around the world! Marie-Eve's creations could therefore, in the near future, be found in decoration stores like Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel!
After barely a year of existence, Marie-Eve has a ton of projects to put in place concerning her business. What was originally just an illustration to decorate her own home now allows her to unleash her creative side. A freedom that she appreciates on a daily basis.
