With the rays of sunshine warming my cheeks as I watch the news comfortably on my terrace, I feel the excitement of my first campsite of the season. Before installing the tent on a wooded site, and preferably bordered by a river, I have to get busy in my preparations and do some shopping. It's in the cosmetics department that I take you for a walk today!
Anxious to protect the environment in which I settle as much as possible, I fell in love with the outdoor range of the local company Druide . Natural sunscreen
What first charmed me was the chocolate smell of this 100% natural and local sunscreen. SPF 30 protection is guaranteed by the active ingredients that protect the skin against UV rays which are of mineral origin (zinc). The company markets a product for children (without hemp essential oil) and one for adults offered in two fragrances: cocoa or lavender flower and herbs. My choice is made, how about you?
Lemongrass insect repellent lotion
Amanda, who is a representative for the company, wants to reassure consumers about Druide's mosquito repellent products. Concerned about health and ecology, the products have been designed so that they do not contain DEET and are approved by Health Canada . Eco Trail Multi-Purpose Soap
The essential oil of lemon eucalyptus acts in particular against mosquitoes, so it is a plus in a soap for camping. For the lover of swimming in lakes and rivers that I am, knowing that this product is phosphate-free (element at the origin of blue algae) is reassuring. In addition, Druide guarantees that this product is 100% biodegradable immediately in contact with water. Multi-use is synonymous with lightness in luggage, a must for wild camping.

Pur Sensitive Skin Roll-On Deodorant
After several unsuccessful attempts, I set my sights on this gentle and odorless deodorant for my camping holidays. The “roll-on” option is to be preferred during the hot season, because the product is easier to keep in luggage than those in bars, which tend to melt. Unlike its little brother in the Eco Trail range, the Pur deodorant is odorless, which is perfect for my outings to the local microbrewery during my camping trips.
Toothpaste
What I like about this product, apart from the fact that it is made from 100% natural ingredients, like the entire Druide range, is the rigid packaging which is ultra-resistant: perfect for camping! The company currently offers four flavors made from essential oils or natural essences: mint-lemon (my favourite!), cinnamon, anise and banana (perfect for children). It is also possible to get a toothbrush with a compostable bamboo handle on the company's website.
