Now a classic in Café Barista's espresso range, it will appeal to fans of traditional espresso. On a scale of 3, it rates 2 for bitterness, 1 for acidity and 2 for intensity. Café Barista, a roaster based in Montréal, roasts its coffee Monday to Saturday.
Format: 250 g whole bean, or 500 g whole bean or ground.
Ingredients: 100% coffee, with no added ingredients.
Allergens: according to Café Barista, this coffee is a pure product with no added food, and poses no allergen risk.
Serving suggestion: for a single espresso, use 12 to 14 g of coffee for 30 ml of water (short) or 60 ml (long); for a double, 18 to 20 g for 60 ml (short) or 120 ml (long). A 250 g bag makes about 13 double espressos, a 500 g bag about 27.
Storage: in its bag, in a dark, dry place such as a kitchen cupboard. Avoid the refrigerator and freezer, which are too humid. Stored this way, the coffee stays fresh for up to 3 months.
