Oleka is a Quebec company specializing in the manufacture of canvas. Art is an integral part of our lives, but unfortunately an original work of art is often inaccessible to most of us. Although its rarity makes it a desirable object, we believe it is our mission to democratize art through decoration. We want to be the intermediary between a multi-thousand dollar work and a low-end imported product. Art allows everyone to express themselves, to imagine and to be entertained, which is why we want to give every household the opportunity to decorate their wall with a crush rather than simply filling a void. Thanks to Art 2.0, we have made this possible. All of our artwork is created by local artists on digital tablets, then printed on textured matte canvas. What makes our product unique is that it is assembled on gallery-style canvas, providing the look of the original artwork, but at a fraction of the price.
This art product was printed on canvas using a water-based print technique baked into the canvas. Next, the canvas was carefully hand-mounted on an understated Canadian basswood frame. To facilitate hanging, a wire is installed at the back and each frame is equipped with a nail-hook type hanging system as well as an installation guide. It is important to note that this product is certified as being made in Quebec.
