The cushion is filled with buckwheat hulls from Quebec. From a sustainable development perspective, this filling has the advantage of being recycled, renewable, durable, and compostable. In addition, buckwheat hulls are hypoallergenic, anti-dust mite, and anti-bacterial.
After a few months of use, the volume of the new cushion reduces by 5 to 10%. At this point, hulls can be added to restore the cushion's volume. After a few years, it is a good idea to replace the hulls with newer ones.
Avoid placing the cushion on a dirty or dusty surface. To wash it, remove the lining and hand wash it with fresh, soapy water. Allow the cover to air dry and then air the hulls in the sun on a large cloth.
