At the very end of the road, high up on the mountain, lies the rustic sugar shack where everything is done by hand. With no electricity or cell phone service, it's a true return to their roots. For the past few years, the owners have been harvesting their 2,000 or so maple trees and teaching themselves the trade. They're returning to this hobby that has already occupied many evenings and nights, and already dream of passing their passion on to their grandchildren.
