Wintergreen, also called wintergreen, is a creeping aromatic plant native to North America. Its leaves are very popular prepared as an infusion. An essential oil used in products or topical cosmetics is also distilled.
Indeed, it contains methyl salicylate, a substance close to aspirin and being anti-inflammatory. A herbal tea is used to reduce flatulence and pain, to have a tonic and stimulating effect.
Additional information: Its flavor is used in the food industry to flavor candies, bubble gum, certain craft beers, etc. Its taste is extremely close to the classic “pink peppermint” that our grandparents loved, but more natural.
