A spoonful on a slice of toast still warm, and the taste of spring at the sugar shack comes back all at once.
La Sucrerie de Courval is the family sugar bush of Nancy Plourde and Éric Dupuis, owners of the land since 2005. The sugar shack was rebuilt in 2009 and the first sugaring season took place in the spring of 2010. About 4,500 taps are worked there and everything is processed on site.
Its creamy texture and deep flavour are as good at breakfast as they are as a snack.
Ingredients: pure maple syrup, with nothing added.
Serving suggestion: spread it on your toast and crêpes, or add it to your desserts.
Storage: refrigerate after opening.
Origin: made at the sugar bush, in Drummondville, in the Saint-Joachim-de-Courval sector, in the Centre-du-Québec.
