An amber infusion that calls maple to mind the moment you pour it into the cup.

These herbal teas grew out of the work of the Avataq Cultural Institute, an Inuit organization in Nunavik founded in 1980, which first documented traditional herbal knowledge with the Elders before turning it into a commercial line in the early 2000s. The brand was relaunched with new packaging in 2015, then acquired by Makivvik in December 2023.

Format: 50 tea bags.

Ingredients: sarsaparilla root, fenugreek seeds, carob, cloudberry leaves, roasted chicory root, cinnamon bark, roasted maté leaves.

Serving suggestion: steep one bag in a cup of hot water for a few minutes, depending on the strength you want.

Storage: keep in an airtight container, away from moisture.

Precautions: contains roasted maté, which has stimulating properties according to the manufacturer.

Origin: plants picked and dried by hand by residents of the Nunavik communities, in the Nord-du-Québec; the processing is overseen by the Avataq Cultural Institute.
