Along country roads, you have certainly already noticed milkweed, this very common plant whose pods release silky down in the fall. It is this same pod that is picked and marinated while it is still young and tender to transform it into a tasty local pickle!
Directions for use: Pickled milkweed pods are somewhere between pickles and capers. They have a floral taste of their own and a festive je ne sais quoi! Don't hesitate to enjoy them and pique the curiosity of your guests by serving them as an accompaniment to a platter of charcuterie, chopped in a tartare, in a Caesar salad, on rillettes or pâté, as an appetizer. as an aperitif or with a well-grilled fatty fish.
