A floral syrup made from wild rose petals, with sugar and a touch of acidity added. A small amount is enough to flavour a dessert, a cocktail or sparkling water.

Gourmet Sauvage hand-picks the flowers in the Kamouraska region. The company is based in Mont-Blanc, in the Laurentians. According to the maker, this responsibly harvested syrup is non-GMO, gluten-free and vegan.

Format: 245 ml bottle.

Ingredients: sugar, water, wild roses, citric acid.

Serving suggestion: drizzle over crêpes, sorbets and desserts; add it to white wine to make a kir, to a cocktail or to sparkling water. In a cake, it can replace part of the sugar.

Storage: away from light; refrigerate after opening.

Origin: roses hand-picked in the Kamouraska region, Bas-Saint-Laurent; company based in Mont-Blanc, in the Laurentians.
