If there is a tree that evokes large wild spaces, it is the fir. To highlight its importance in our history and because its aroma is exquisite, Gourmet Sauvage offers it to you in delicate jelly, to be served with cheeses and pâtés among others.
Additional information: The jelly is created from hand-picked fir needles which are then crushed and cold macerated. The filtered liquid is then added with a hint of organic sugar and fruit pectin.
Directions for use: The scent of fir jelly is heady, while its taste is subtle. There are of course menthol notes but also a slight citrus scent. It is served in a thousand ways (and not just in winter!): with cheese, with foie gras and pâtés, in fruit salad for a touch of freshness, in a green smoothie for a slight forest taste, with smoked salmon on bagels, with game and lamb or on steamed vegetables with a knob of butter.
